Emma Thomson is an associate attorney at Rivers ⧫ McNamara. She handles divorces and child custody matters, enforcement and modification of existing court orders, and pre- and postnuptial agreements. Emma has a compassionate understanding of every client’s unique situation, and she brings a patient and pragmatic approach to making a personalized plan tailored to their goals and needs.
Emma was first drawn to family law while attending the University of Texas School of Law. During her time in law school, she provided legal services to survivors of domestic violence through her work in the Immigration Clinic, at SAFE Austin, and at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid.
Emma was selected as a Texas Super Lawyers–Rising Star in Family Law in 2025.
